About Dirk

Hi!

I’m one of the contributors to the Gadgets.co.uk Blog, and I’ve been asked by “The Powers That Be” to write a little bit about myself. I’ve never been particularly great at writing things about myself, so I found one of those online questionnaires and did it that way:Dirk

What’s your name?

Dirk

What do you do at Gadgets Towers?

I’ve been with Gadgets.co.uk for about 18 months now. I do the copy writing for the website, some of the photography, and affiliate management, as well as other little bits and pieces here and there. Oh, and I drink an awful lot of tea as well.

What do you do when not at work?

I guess I’d be described as a bit of a geek, and although I like watching Football (Spurs and England), and Rugby (Wasps and England) probably more of time is divided between Video games (I have a Wii, XBox 360, and a DS Lite, as well as some older Nintendo systems), Sci-Fi films and TV (Stargate SG-1, and similar), and am a frequent goer to gigs and festivals, I’m already booked up for Download, Reading, and Sonisphere festivals this year, and will also be seeing AC/DC and Metallica when they are on tour later in the year.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have my little Tansy-cat. She’s quite small as moggies go, and has a black and white coat, she looks a little like Felix.

And finally, what’s your favourite bit about working for Gadgets.co.uk?

There really are quite a lot! Thankfully I work with some great people in the office that help make sure every day is a good one. Obviously there are all the great products that we get coming into the office, and of course I have to test all of these so that I can write about them. Finally that there is never a dull day here.
