Gadgets Blog: Unusual Gift Ideas
Gadgets, gifts and novelties for all ages
About DirkHi! I’m one of the contributors to the Gadgets.co.uk Blog, and I’ve been asked by “The Powers That Be” to write a little bit about myself. I’ve never been particularly great at writing things about myself, so I found one of those online questionnaires and did it that way: What’s your name? Dirk What do you do at Gadgets Towers? I’ve been with Gadgets.co.uk for about 18 months now. I do the copy writing for the website, some of the photography, and affiliate management, as well as other little bits and pieces here and there. Oh, and I drink an awful lot of tea as well. What do you do when not at work? I guess I’d be described as a bit of a geek, and although I like watching Football (Spurs and England), and Rugby (Wasps and England) probably more of time is divided between Video games (I have a Wii, XBox 360, and a DS Lite, as well as some older Nintendo systems), Sci-Fi films and TV (Stargate SG-1, and similar), and am a frequent goer to gigs and festivals, I’m already booked up for Download, Reading, and Sonisphere festivals this year, and will also be seeing AC/DC and Metallica when they are on tour later in the year. Do you have any pets? Yes, I have my little Tansy-cat. She’s quite small as moggies go, and has a black and white coat, she looks a little like Felix. And finally, what’s your favourite bit about working for Gadgets.co.uk? There really are quite a lot! Thankfully I work with some great people in the office that help make sure every day is a good one. Obviously there are all the great products that we get coming into the office, and of course I have to test all of these so that I can write about them. Finally that there is never a dull day here. |
