Who do you think you are?

Hello chaps and chapettes. My name is Sam and I’m very pleased to become the newest member of the team here at Gadget towers. I’ve been tasked with contributing the latest Gadget gossip to the Blogosphere and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

What do you get up to outside of work?

By night I’m a keen musician and I sing in a touring UK rock band called Scholars. Our music ranges from pop-hooks to rock riffs and we like it loud. I also love everything about the big wide web and do a little web and graphic design from my bedroom. I’m especially keen on messing with photos. You know… turn your sister into a pig… put a beard on grandma… that’s an evening.

What do you watch on the box?

I’m a big comedy enthusiast and a huge Larry David fan. I love both The Offices from either side of the Atlantic and I’m also into 30 Rock. Plus most of my favourite films feature either Bill Murray or Jim Carrey.

Who’s your childhood hero?

I’m a huge Sonic the Hedgehog nerd and I’ve been collecting all the games and various merchandise for years now. For Christmas one year a friend bought me a giant Sonic poster which now takes up a whole wall in our house. Miraculously, this has never prevented me from getting a girlfriend.

Where would you most like to travel?

I’m dying to stay at the Park Hyatt hotel in Tokyo. I’m so intent on going there in fact that I’ve actually learnt a few phrases of conversational Japanese. I’m partial to sushi and a little sake too.
