Getting old and Grannies

Over the last few weeks I’ve been complaining bitterly about my car. It’s fair to say we’ve had our ups and downs over the years, normally resulting in me paying out hundreds of pounds. This newest problem however is more annoying than costly (I think). For some unknown reason the radio randomly defaults to Radio Two and loses all my preset stations. It’s been quite a pain, I’m not normally a Radio Two kinda girl, isn’t Radio Two for old people? I mean my dad listens to Radio Two and sings Wogan’s praises but I just didn’t get it.
Usually I’d prefer a bit of Kiss 100 to get me going in the morning with Radio One’s Scott Mills in the afternoon to see me home however the last few times it’s happened I couldn’t be bothered to fight with the radio. Instead I’ve found myself listening, in particular to the Chris Evans drive time show. I must admit I think I might be starting to enjoy it. I’ve noticed that every now and again I’m actually turning over to the show and staying tuned, more recently I’ve caught myself saying “I was listening to the radio two last night and there was a really interesting bit about….blah, blah, blah.” OMG does this mean I’m getting old!?!
Anyway you may wonder why I’m telling you all this, well last week I was listening to Radio Two because my car defaulted to it and there was a really interesting piece about a company called Grannies Inc. If like me you like your beanie hats (last count I have about 15, ranging from bright furry blue to shocking pink) then you’ll love this site. You can design your own beanie or baggie, it’s very simple but that means it’s extremely easy to use. Not only can you design the colour and pattern but you can also decide whether you have a bobble or flaps with tassels. Once you’ve finished your master piece the order is sent to a granny (hence the name) who will hand knit it for you. Why grannies, because who knows more about knitting than grannies? No-one, that’s who!

So if you’re looking for a truly unique gift this Christmas or just a fab new addition to your collection then head over to Grannies inc. That’s what I’ll be doing later tonight!
