Mobile Phone Anti-Theft Device

Since getting my shiny new Nokia N97 I have obviously been aware that I have a rather expensive piece of tech in my pocket at just about all times, and I am equally conscious that as well as worrying about my new Gadget breaking as I take a tumble over a loose paving stone, or it getting water damaged after getting caught in a particularly heavy downpour I am also worried about it being pinched. Yes, I have insurance in place to cover all of these inevitabilities, and granted with IMEI blocking in place Mobile Phone theft is not as attractive a proposition as it used to be, but the inconvenience factor is still there.

That was why I was chuffed when I was directed to this great anti theft device by a friend of mine. It works on the basic principle that if what you have is undesirable, no-one would want to steal it. So if you transform your sleek and feature packed N97 into, visually at least, a less sleek and feature packed Nokia Cityman 450 you may well have trouble giving it away!

Ok, so it’s not actually a real product, and even if it was it wouldn’t be a particularly feasible option for anyone wanting to remain ‘mobile’ with your phone no longer fitting in your pocket, and not even a lot of bags either. In fact, the only real use would likely be for the novelty factor in the pub, or maybe for securing a hand written note to with an elastic band before lobbing it in the intended recipients general direction….
