Unfortunately as cute as they are, they don't make the best of pets. Being very sociable animals they prefer to live in family groups, and of course they live in burrows that they dig in the sand, and most houses we've been to don't accommodate for this sort of activity. But with this great Adopt A Meerkat Gift Pack, you can adopt a real live Meerkat as part of a South African conservation project.
By adopting one of these adorable creatures you are assisting Meerkat Magic, the only conservation project which seks to protect wild Meerkats. How do I register my gift?
You can register your gift online or by post. We recommend that you register online as this speeds up the time it takes for you to receive your certificate and your meerkat photograph. Full instructions on how to register can be found in your registration booklet.
How long do I have to register my gift?
You need to register your gift before the expiry date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
How long does my adoption last?
Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration.
How long does it take for me to receive my certificate and meerkat photograph?
These will be dispatched within 28 days from the date of registration. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift Republic’s control may affect delivery times.
Can I visit the meerkats?
Meerkat Magic aims for as little impact as possible on the meerkat nature reserve so that they remain true to their natural behaviour. They encourage an 'Observe and Conserve' policy and the animals are completely wild. The meerkat reserve is located in Oudtshoorn, West Cape, South Africa.
