To display the time in binary format, the watch uses two rows of LED lights. The first row of LEDs denotes the hours, and second row of lights indicates the minutes.

Translation of time from binary to decimal is fairly easy when you know how - just add together the values of the lit LEDs on upper row to read the hours, and the values of the lit LEDs on the lower row to read minutes. With a little practice you can learn to read this time format easily.
