As you would expect, the Mini DV Cam records both video and audio in AVI format and saves them to a micro SD card of up to 16GB (not included) for computer editing and playback. Footage is recorded at an impressive 25fps and a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels for smooth flowing shots. The Mini DV Cam comes equipped with various attachments to enable you to fix to a wide range of things in a number of different ways. There is a rubber sleeve to protect the camera from minor knocks and bumps, and allows it to be attached to a wrist, bag, or similar using the included Velcro strap. If you prefer something a bit more stable, then simply clip Mini DV Cam into the back splint attachment. This has an integrated sprung and toothed clip for attaching the camera to a pocket, or belt, and ensuring it stays secure. This in turn can be clipped onto the bracket attachment which can then be attached using the included adhesive pad, the internal magnet, or if you want something really secure you can even attach the bracket using screws (not included).

Due to its size, and with its array of attachment options the Mini DV Cam is perfect for taking action footage whilst skiing, biking, climbing, or performing any other sort of extreme sport. If, on the other hand you need some discreet surveillance equipment then the Mini DV Cam is the perfect gadget, with its small size allowing it to be hidden nearly anywhere. This is also where the motion detection mode comes to the fore, automatically turning the Mini DV Cam on to record video and audio when it detects movement the camera will also stop filming and switch back to standby mode when it doesn't detect movement for over 60 seconds.
