A quieter, gentler, and arguably prettier alternative to fireworks these traditional Chinese-style Sky Lanterns are sure to draw "Oooh's" and "Aaahhhh's" as they create a very special light show in the sky. It's easy to send your lantern soaring, and makes a special and different way to celebrate special occasions such as Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries, and Diwali. Your lantern will fly for up to 20 minutes, and can rise to over a mile in the sky, where it will still be visible all around.

The Sky Lantern works like a hot air balloon. Once the lantern is lit, the warm air will cause it to float gracefully up into the sky. The lantern itself is made from flame retardant materials that are completely bio-degradable, and the frame is made from bamboo - a wood that is quickly replenished.

Flying Lanterns are traditionally known as 'Khom Fay' or 'Khom Loy' in China and have been used for nearly two thousand years. It was believed that wishes written on lanterns would rise up to the heavens and come true. Sky Lanterns are a great way to bring something extra and unique to any special occasion.

Bought and sent one off for my daughters birthday. Weather wasn't that good so not as effective as hoped but flu non the less and she loved it.
