Walkie Talkies are cool, but we at Gadgets Towers were always disappointed with those crappy ones we got as kids. You know, the one's with Superman, or He-man featured on? (and when did either of those heroes ever use Walkie Talkies!?) They were all well and good when you were in the same room as your friend with the other receiver, but any further apart than that they got a bit sketchy. Thankfully things have moved on since then, so much so in fact that we now have these great Oregon Slimline Walkie Talkies.
Not only are these tiny transceivers less than an inch think, they have an optimal range of 5km, and a 16 hour standby time using the included rechargeable batteries on a 3 hour charge. The PMR446 frequency these radios use is license free and will communicate with any make/model of radio operating on the same channel/subchannel. These Walkie Talkies are perfect for skiing, mountain biking on holiday on the beach, or any other outdoor activity. In fact these Slimline Walkie Talkies are ideal for any occasion that requires people to be able to stay in contact.
