If you were to combine a helicopter and a plane into some sort of super remote control flier you would doubtless end up with something like the V-22 VTOL Plane. Whereas most remote control planes require a lot of space to take off, and more often than not a helping hand as well, the V-22 uses its wing mounted rotors to be able to lift itself off the ground vertically with minimum effort. Once lifted off the ground it can hover or descend, turn left and right with progressive forwards movement.

The V-22 Osprey was originally designed by Boeing for the US Marines who required a vehicle with Vertical Take Off/Landing (VTOL) as well as troop carrying capabilities, whilst also being able to travel at speed. Just as innovative as it's real life cousin the Silverlit V-22 Remote Controlled Vertical Take Off Plane will taxi on a smooth surface before you prompt it's two powerful wing mounted propellers into action to lift it effortlessly straight up into the air. Unfortunately the propellers on our V-22 will remain in the upright position, but this is still a fantastically fun remote control flier!
